Texas Business Women hold three annual conferences usually taking place every fall, spring and summer. Each conference is unique and offers Texas women an opportunity to network, build on their existing skills and gain new tools and resources to allow them to grow professionally and personally.
SPRING CONFERENCE 2012: WOMEN'S TOTAL HEALTH
How healthy and productive are your employees? According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services women in Texas are less physically active, have a higher obesity rate and higher blood pressure than other women across the United States. The fact is, businesses with healthy women have lower health care costs, lower levels of absenteeism, and lower levels of turnover relative to their industry peers. The 2012 Texas Business Women Spring Conference’s focus is: Women's Total Health.
The goals of Spring Conference are to:
- Highlight women’s health issues.
- Showcase strategies and tactics that will help women maintain a healthy lifestyle and increase their productiveness at work.
- Highlight businesses and organizations committed to ensuring women are healthy workers.
- Empower women to become leaders at work and of their own health.
